How long have you been living with diabetes?

I have been living with type 1 diabetes for six years.

What has been your lowest point with diabetes?

Life puts obstacles in your way, but I think the biggest obstacle for me was processing the idea of having to live with diabetes. It is not difficult to overcome, but it is hard to change the way you perceive it.

What does the centenary of insulin mean to you?

I see insulin as something I have to take, but I do not like it. If I have anything to thank insulin for, it is that it makes me feel physically and mentally healthy. Insulin should be my friend and I should help her so that together we can have control over my health. Using insulin saved me and it was a pleasure meeting her.
